About Me

My name is Chris Piekarz and I’ve been eating food my entire life. One thing I’ve learned over that time is that our modern food system is badly broken and in need of repair. Not only is most of our food not very tasty, it is not healthful and overly costly. My solution to this problem is to build a lasting connection between farmers and consumers, to create communities that support each other and are part of a united foodshed.

I strongly feel conversations and decisions about food need to be based on the warm, personal relationship between growers and eaters rather than isolated within the cold and sterile environment driven by a commodity-based culture. If I can help you or your community improve their farm to table connection please let me know.
